Kitchen Remodel

On top of helping plan my AMAZING wedding, my mom and dad are also redoing their kitchen...Crazy right? I thought I would do a kitchen update to let people see the progress. If you have ever been in my parents house than you probably understand that the kitchen needed a little face lift...hello 80's white!

This is Doc's new favorite place! They are also going to redo the floors.

This is my dad's new toy...they are leveling out the back yard and planting new sod. Nothing like a wedding at home to make you do BIG projects around the house!!!

So that's a little update. I will keep taking pictures of the progress and keep updating. Once they finish the kitchen they will start working on the butlers pantry area, which I think is going to be pretty awesome!

Bridesmaids!!!

I have asked all 6 bridesmaids and all 6 say yes!!!!

Here they are...

Katie- My maid of honor.

Katie and I have been best friends our whole lives...seriously! There are few memories from my life that do not include her...Katie knows me better than anyone else, and I am so thankful for her! She is one of the few people I know that would drop anything if I needed her. I have shared many laughs, tears, and glasses of wine with Katie and I look forward to many more!!! I am so glad that she is going to stand next to me on my big day!

Michel

If I only had one word to describe Michel, I have no idea what I would use, because she is just so wonderful! Luckily, I don't have to use just one word :) Michel and I have known each other since preschool, but we really didn't become friends until the summer after our freshman year of high school. Michel and I have gone through many phases together...pop punk music and emo guys which turned into country music and redneck guys which turned into "OMG we found the guy of our dreams" which turned into getting married :) One June 9, 2007 I had the honor of being her bridesmaid and I am honored that she will be my bridesmaid on March 5, 2011!!!

Emily

Emily was my roommate senior year of college! She is such an amazing person and I am so blessed to have her in my wedding party! Emily pushes me to push on my confort zones and I love that about her :) She gives the BEST neck and back massages and would always play with my hair! Among other things I believe that the glue that holds us together is our love of Christmas music!! I can pretty much count on always laughing with her when we are together or on the phone!

Lindsey

Lindsey and I meet freshman year at PC and have been friends ever since, but since graduation we have gotten closer, which makes me happy! We pretty much has THE SAME taste, so needless to say she is my go to advice girl...aka the other half of my brian! Since she lives in PA we don't get to see eachother much, but I do look forward to our phone calls! I am so blessed to have her as a friend and as a bridesmaid!

Randi

I knew Randi Freshman year, but we really didn't get close until Junior year. We were supposed to live together Senior year with another girl, but the housing lottery at PC is kinda crazy, so needless to say that we all got split up, so Randi and Katie C. were our honorary roommates! Randi has one of the kindest hearts of anyone I know! I was in Randi's wedding in May of 2008 and I am so glad that she is going to be in mine!

Jenny-Gray

Jenny-Gray and I were suitemates Freshman year and roommates Sphomore year at PC. Jenny-Gray is probably the craziest person I know. JG has the ability to brighten up any situation! One of my favorite memories of JG is from sphomore year when she sang " All I want for Christmas is you" to my paper mache turtle during exam week (and yes I videoed it). I am so excited to have her in my wedding!

I am so lucky to have such amazing friends! I can't wait to dance the night away with yall!

I saw this picture frame in a cute shop in Greenville...instead of buying it I am going to attempt to make one for myself...I will keep you posted!


I am loving this jewlery bag...And the great thing about this is that I can keep on using it!



I love this ring holder sooo stinking much! I also saw this in Greenville and pretty much feel in love! My favorite thing about this is that it says "With this ring"...that is what G and I's first dance is going to be to!

I love being engaged...it has been 2 month and 2 days and I am still glowing!!!!!!

Weekend recap!

This weekend I packed up the Volvo and heading to Greenville, SC (aka one of my fav cities) to hang out with two of my best friends from college. We had such a good time catching up and hanging out!

On Friday we ventured to our Alma Mater for Spring Fling to see the band Crowfield play. Being back at PC was nice, but at the same time it made me feel OLD!!! Kids are so young looking these days! After the band played we took a walk around the campus and reminisced about our college days. It is hard to believe that it has almost been 2 years since I graduated...time really does fly by!

I really do miss this place!

When we got back to the house on Friday night I asked EM and RB to be my bridesmaids...they said yes! Once I ask everyone I will do a post about all the girls!

On Saturday we heading to downtown Greenville to eat lunch and hang out at Falls Park. I love downtown Greenville! It is such a great mix of small town and big city. After lunch we did a little shopping and made a stop here...



Spill the Beans is some of the best ice cream I have ever had!!!

We then ventured around the park...it was prom weekend in G-Vegas so it was fun to watch all of the kids taking pictures!

We then witnessed this...



That's right people...they just got engaged! It was sweet to watch, although everyone was all up in their moment! After a few minutes we went across the park to tell them that we took some pictures and that if they wanted them I would be more than happy to email them...of course they said yes!

After walking through the park, we were pretty tired and hot, so we headed back to RB's house and cooked pizza a watched movies...very much like college...love it! I haven't seen these girls since Labor Day last year so it was nice to catch up in person!

We will miss you Julia Sugarbaker

I LOVE Designing Women...seriously it is one of my all time favorite shows! I was so sad to hear that Julia (Dixie Carter) died...kinda felt like a part of my childhood died :(

This makes me so sad...

I can't tell you how many invitations, family Christmas cards, cute gifts, etc, we have gotten from Swoozies...and soon it will be gone :( so sad!

My mom and I ventured to the one in PTC this weekend, and although it is very sad, I was able to get my bridesmaids gifts!

You better hurry it you want to get some good stuff...my guess is that things will go fast!

We will miss you Swoozies...You made parties and gift giving just a little bit easier!

Things I am loving.

I am forever in the market for good mascara, but every time I get one I like, it never fails that within a month I don't like it anymore! So I am hoping that is not the case with this mascara. So far I am loving it, but I will keep you posted...I have only had it for 3 days!

I am loving the Liberty of London line at Target! Well lets just face it, I LOVE Target! I am also loving these shirts from Target.

I love this shirt so much that I got it in Pink, Blue, and White! I am Pretty sure it will be a staple piece this spring and summer!

The only thing I am not loving right now is the POLLEN!!! I love spring, but the pollen...not so much!
